So today Katherine and I took some pregnancy photos together. We had a friend and very good photographer, Katie Mcdill http://www.katiemcdillphotography.com/index2.php, take some shots (at her suggestion) around an antebellum home located on north side. Although the heat was horrendous, Katie would comfort us by telling us we were so sweet, giggling after every 2 or 3 clicks, then scooting us along to the next shady scenic spot. She worked very quickly and had many poses figured out for us before we even made it to our positions. I just hope we gave her some good material to work with.
As we sat (or stood) for each pose, I couldn't help but feel like "the Dad" in every awkward family photo, never sure whether I should try and blend into the back ground, or stand there strong like an alpha male, a dominant figure proclaiming the ownership of my new three piece family.
